Brake Glow is published at brakeglow.com. This page says what the site stores, what it does not sell, and what happens when an advertisement is shown. Brake Glow does not sell personal information.
Server logs
The site may keep standard server logs, such as the visitor address and the page requested, so the server can run and so abuse can be investigated. A log can also include the time of the request and the browser identification string the browser sends. Those records are for operating and protecting the site. They are not a profile that Brake Glow sells, and they are not joined to the reader list.
The reader list
If you join the reader list, Brake Glow stores that email address on this website. It is not sold. The address is kept so the publication can send an occasional note when a new guide is published. Joining is optional. The form asks for an email address and nothing else. A hidden field on the form is there to catch automated signups. It is not a question for you to answer.
To be removed, email [email protected] from the address you used, and say that you want it taken off the list. Questions about this page go to the same address.
Contact mail
If you email [email protected], the message arrives as ordinary email. The public site does not offer a comment box, and it does not ask you to create an account to read a guide. Do not send identity documents in a first message. Say which page you mean and what you want done.
Advertising
When an advertisement is shown, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or to other sites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to show ads based on those visits. Brake Glow does not choose the individual ad, and it does not receive a file of the reader’s name from the advertising vendor.

The only advertising vendor named here is Google, because that is the vendor this disclosure is written for. No other ad network is named, because none is in use on these pages. If that changes, this page will name the vendor that is actually used.
About, Contact, Safety, Privacy, the cookie and cache policy, Disclaimer, and Terms do not carry ads. An article advertisement is labeled Advertisement and is removed when Google returns nothing, so an empty box is not left on the page.
Cookies
The cookie and cache policy describes the difference between a cookie in the browser and a copy of a page kept on the server. Read that page for the practical detail. The short version is that reading a guide does not require an account cookie, and the reader-list form does not set a tracking cookie of its own.
Who receives information
The host that serves brakeglow.com processes requests in order to deliver the pages. An email provider handles mail sent to [email protected]. If an advertisement is shown, Google and its partners process the advertising data described above, under their own policies. Brake Glow does not sell the reader list or the server logs.
How long information stays
A reader-list address stays until you ask for it to be removed or the list is shut down. Server logs follow the rotation of the host. They are not kept as a permanent public record. A backup of the site may contain an address for a short time after it is removed from the live list.
Children
The guides are general reading about vehicle brakes. The site is not directed at children, and the reader list is not a place to submit a child’s personal information. A parent who believes a child’s email address was submitted can write to [email protected] and ask for it to be removed.
Changes
If the site starts storing something new, or an advertising vendor is added, this page will be updated to match what the site actually does. The date of the last material change is the date the page shows as updated in the publishing system. The current text is the one on this URL.
